Welcome to the EPA Awards 2009
Introduction from Martin Beck
I am delighted to invite your participation in the second annual European Public Affairs Awards. Last year’s event, held in November at the Vaudeville Theatre, recognised the exceptional contribution of 10 individuals and organisations to the industry. These winners were voted by their peers from a shortlist of 30 nominees chosen by a judging panel including the Chairs of 3 main associations – SEAP, EPACA and ECPA – as well as the Editors of Public Affairs News and The Parliament Magazine.
You can get involved in 3 ways:
- Nomination Process – Nominate colleagues or clients (as many as you wish) via the website
- Vote – individuals in the professional PA world (whose employer or affiliation organisation is listed in the European Public Affairs Directory (EPAD)) can vote
- Attend – winners are announced at a gala dinner hosted by the Vaudeville Theatre on 5 November
I look forward to receiving your nominations and congratulating the eventual winners.

Introduction from Ian Hall
Never mind the credit crunch and the ‘register of interest representatives’, now’s the time to seek reward for all your hard work during the past year by winning a European Public Affairs Award!
For one night – and one night only (5 November) – it’s time to forget about who has and who hasn’t registered their activities with the European Commission, and the recession’s impact on budgets, and beat your rivals to grab one of these awards.
Now more than ever it’s crucial to let the boss know how successful you are – so don’t delay, get your submissions in and see you at the Vaudeville Theatre for the awards.
